Preparation and Planning

Application: The first step is to apply to an accredited certification body for ISO 41001 Facility Management certification.
Planning the Facility Management System: The organisation draws up a plan for the Facility Management System. This plan includes Facility Management policies, objectives and management processes.

System Setup and Implementation

Implementation of the Facility Management System: The organisation implements the Facility Management System in accordance with the ISO 41001 standard. This involves the monitoring, measurement and analysis of facility management.
Monitoring and evaluating facilities management performance: The performance indicators required to achieve the objectives relating to facilities management effectiveness are identified and monitored.

Internal Audit and Management Review

Internal Audit: The organisation carries out internal audits to assess the effectiveness of the Facility Management System and its compliance with the standard.
Management Review: Management reviews the performance of the Facility Management System and identifies areas for improvement.

Certification Audit

Independent Audit: An independent audit is carried out by the certification body to assess the organisation’s Facility Management System and its compliance with the standards.
